Chicago Cares – MLK Celebration of Service Event

Over 3000 volunteers gathered at Union Station to hear inspirational speeches by Governor Quinn, Senator Durbin and others before heading to many sites around Chicago for service projects coordinated by Chicago Cares. What a great example of student volunteerism and corporate social responsibility in action – with participation by hundreds of Chicago Public School students and companies such as Discover, HSBC, Target and others. Target alone had over 1500 employees participate.
